Ford CEO James Hackett Awards Dozens of Prestigious Honors

Randall Reed, owner of Prestige Ford in Garland has achieved a historic Ford first. He is the first independent dealer to win the highly coveted Triple Crown at every World Class Automotive dealership in the same year. In addition, in 2018, Randall Reed became one of only seven dealers inducted into the Ford Dealer Hall of Fame.

One of the biggest highlights from the Grand Opening celebration at Planet Ford in Spring came from the awards and ribbon cutting ceremony. Ford Motor Company executives were on site to award Mr. Reed, Mrs. Reed and Prestige Ford with Ford’s highest recognition, the Triple Crown, as well as their 6th consecutive President’s Award.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this unprecedented achievement of every independent dealer’s location earning Ford’s highest honor,” said Mr. Reed.

Ford’s CEO, James Hackett; Mark LaNeve, Vice President of U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service; Joy Falotico, group vice president, Lincoln and Chief Marketing Office; and Elena Ford, a member of the Ford family, among many other Ford executives, spoke at the event and presented a selection of the groups 25 awards. From honoring Mr. Reed as being only the 7th Ford Top Sales Hall of Fame inductee to receiving a historic Triple Crown Award for every Randall Reed Ford dealership earned in the same year; it was a momentous occasion.

Prestige Ford Awards:

  • Ford Dealer Hall of Fame–based on sales volume but also requires a dealer be respected and admired loved by the Ford Motor Company, Ford Credit, their own employees as well as other Ford dealers.
  • Ford Triple Crown–awarded to the most elite dealers in the nation. In order to be recognized, a dealership must receive all of Ford’s top awards, which include: the President’s Award for customer service; the Ford One Hundred Club, an honor based on vehicle sales; and the Premier Club.

Prestige Awards Students Scholarships for Ford Driving Dreams

Randall Reed’s Prestige Ford in Garland, Texas (serving greater Dallas, Mesquite, Rockwall, Richardson, Plano, Grand Prairie) is excited to be part of a unique collaboration with Ford Motor Company/Ford Fund to help make kids’ college dreams come true.

On Tuesday, May 22nd, Randall Reed’s Prestige Ford presented checks to area college-bound high schoolers in the amount of $2,000 at the Ford Driving Tour awards, held at American Airlines Center. The North Texas event featured VIP tours, Dinner and finished up with an all-time record of over $500,000 in scholarships to more than 250 award winners.

“We are so happy to be able to help fuel the future for the bright, young students,” said Randall Reed, owner of Prestige Ford and World Class Automotive Group. “Our dealership family and the Ford Motor Company believe it’s key to support our kids and our community to help ensure a brighter and more successful future for us all.”

2018 MUSTANG COBRA JET CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Here at Prestige Ford, we are super excited about the new 2018 50th anniversary Mustang Cobra Jet by Ford Performance. It is going to be the most powerful and quickest version from the factory ever. The iconic Pony car will be powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter Coyote V8, with performance tuned by Ford Performance to give racers a proven, durable powertrain. It will feature a limited production run of 68 cars, which will be available in Race Red or Oxford White.

According to Ford Motor Company, 50 years ago, the Mustang Cobra Jet took to the staging lanes at drag strips everywhere – and along with the resulting wins, a legend was born. Now comes the return of the Mustang Cobra Jet drag strip race car by Ford Performance – targeted to be the most powerful and quickest version from the factory yet, capable of running the quarter-mile in the mid-8-second range while topping 150 mph.

“From the very first Mustang Cobra Jets dominating the 1968 NHRA Winternationals to our modern-day Cobra Jet racers, the Ford Performance Parts team continues to build the Cobra Jet brand based on its success at the track over five decades,” said Eric Cin, global director, Ford Performance Parts. “That, in turn, has inspired generations of Mustang fans to create their own performance machines for the street.”

Engineered by Ford Performance Parts, the purpose-built drag racer developed on the 2018 Ford Mustang platform is limited to 68 non-VIN production cars. It includes a supercharged 5.2-liter Coyote V8 and unique four-link rear suspension, along with a Ford 9-inch solid rear axle from Strange Engineering. Race add-ons include NHRA-certified roll cage, Racetech FIA seats, and a drag race-specific coil-over suspension with specially designed Weld Racing wheels with 50th anniversary badging.

The result is a turnkey racer that showcases many performance add-ons available from the Ford Performance Parts catalog for Mustang dating back to the original 1968 Cobra Jet. Offered in either Race Red or Oxford White, the 2018 Mustang Cobra Jet features an available commemorative 50th anniversary graphics package and anniversary badging.

Final 2018 Mustang Cobra Jet ordering and product specifications will be released this summer. The car is designed to be legal for National Hot Rod Association drag racing, along with several National Mustang Racers Association and National Muscle Car Association classes.

Prestige Ford Bass Tournament [UPDATE]

We had a great time out at the 4th Annual RAD-Rides and Prestige Ford Bass Tournament! There were so many good looking bass that were caught from 50 boats, but only one boat could win the ultimate price. So without further ado, congratulations to Zach Bobalik and Eric Sattler on their 26.79 lbs for the big win!

Quick Recap

Registration began at 4 a.m., followed by a numbered start after the National Anthem around 6 a.m. Fifty boats went out on Lake Ray Hubbard and hauled in a ton of bass. Weigh in numbers were turned in at 3 p.m. and then Winners were announced.

Ten places were paid out, including the “Biggest Bass,” for a total of more than $10,000.

Special Thank You

We would like to take a minute to thank Victory Fishing Events for hosting the event and 5-OHH BBQ for grilling brisket, chicken and sausage on site. With everyone’s help, we were able to raise $2,600 for the veteran/first responder nonprofit group, 22Kill. Tricked Out Marine also provided boat lights,trailer lights and some fishing poles to add to the raffle with our gift cards. It was an amazing day of outdoor fun that helped out a great cause.

The Garland ISD Education Foundation was established to support the students and staff of the Garland Independent School District, which encompasses the north Texas communities of Garland, Rowlett and Sachse.
