Randall Reed’s Planet Ford 635 in Garland had an amazing time meeting with students and instructors at Automotive Technician Career Fair at Dallas College Brookhaven Campus. Planet Ford team members and Sheena Sharapata, community relations had the opportunity to meet with over 200 local high school automotive students who attended the event. Team members discussed opportunities for employment as well as learn about the Ford Asset Program.
During the event, our team met with Jonathan Cuff, Service Performance Manager, Ford Motor Company and social media influencer, Maria, (shown in photo) who were conducting interviews on the importance of the next generation of technicians with changing technology.
Ford Motor Company Fund and North Texas Ford Dealers have announced 50 Scholarships for Automotive Technicians valued at $5,000 each totaling $250,000 in Dallas for students pursuing careers in auto and auto/diesel technology. This needs based scholarship is applied to a student’s school tuition account and may be used for all cost of attendance, including tuition, tools, living expenses and transportation.
Who Is Eligible?
Any individual (high school graduates, career-changing adults, veterans) pursuing a degree or certificate in automotive technology in Dallas with $250,000 in funds available in North Texas adding to the total of $1 million in funds across the US in greater Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Phoenix.
