Randall Reed’s Planet Ford 635 in Garland (serving greater Dallas) celebrated the six winners of the Ford Motor Company Fund and Planet Ford 635 Driving Dreams Scholarships and the three FDAF Ford Driving Dreams Automotive Track Scholarship Winners from Garland ISD on June 7th, at Main Street Café in downtown Garland, Texas.
Thank you to the following Garland School Board of Trustees for attending to support and celebrate the scholarship winners: Linda Griffin Vice President, Daphne Stanley Trustee, Jamie Miller Trustee, Robert Selders Jr. Secretary, and Johnny Beach Assistant Secretary.
We were also thankful to have some incredible community partners attend: Lori Barnett Dodson, former Mayor of Garland; Shon Cass, Texas Security Bank and Hope Clinic Board of Directors; Stephen Stanley, Dallas County Justice of the Peace Pct. 2; and Councilman Ed Moore, District 3 Garland.
Thanks to everyone coming together, we were able to support the graduating Garland ISD Seniors and show them the importance of community, furthering education and finding a passion in life.
🎓Congratulations to Leah Dugger and Gueren Sanford from Garland High School for each receiving a $2,000 Ford Driving Dreams scholarship!
Leah will be attending SMU and Gueren will be attending A&M.
🎓Congratulations to Jair Delgado and Brooke Poarch from South Garland High School for each receiving a $2,000 Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship!
Jair will be attending Illinois Institute of Technology and Brooke will be attending Austin College.
🎓Congratulations to Ai Do and Isabella Ignacio from North Garland High School for each receiving a $2,000 Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship! 🎓
Ai will be attending UTD and Isabella will be attending University of Texas at Arlington.
🎓Congratulations to Angel Gonzalez, Ricardo Ponce Cruz and Jauri Roman from Garland ISD for each receiving a $3,000 Ford Driving Dreams Automotive Track Scholarship in North Texas new for 2022!
Angel will be attending Eastfield College and Ricardo and Jauri will both be attending UTI.
It was our honor to sit down and get to know these incredible individuals who are our future! The energy in the room warmed ours hearts hearing our community leaders and school board trustees share advice and congratulate our Garland ISD Seniors overcoming many obstacles over the last four years and graduating this week. Congrats Class of 2022!
North Garland HS will be graduating June 9th, Garland HS will be graduating June 10th and South Garland HS will be graduating June 11th.
