Remember Pet Safety
Since we are entering the Holiday season, many will be traveling with their companions, here are a few safety reminders when traveling with your pet(s):
Buckle Up– Keep your favorite companion safe by securing them in their own seat belt.
Crates– Sometimes our animal can be overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of a car ride, bringing their home on the road can be a good idea for the fur-ball that don’t travel the best.
Sticking to Barriers– Pets love to be by our side and riding shotgun, but if you have an excited and anxious pet who wants to give you kissing or be in your lap, setting up barriers would be ideal for both. There are many different types of barriers that can be installed in all vehicles.
Take Breaks– Even your pet has to take a potty break on road trips. Make sure you’re prepared with a leash and put time away to stop and let them take care of business. Dehydration is very common in dogs, be sure to have water available for your pup.
Entertainment– Just like kids, pets can get bored on long road trips, pack their favorite chew toy and bone for them to enjoy on the ride.
Temperature Check– If you leave your dog in the car be sure to first check the temperature, what feels like a warm day outside won’t feel like a warm day inside.
