The team at Randall Reed’s Prestige Ford in Garland (serving greater Dallas) enjoys celebrating and supporting our community partners. During the Real Texas Festival in Mesquite, this past weekend, Barry Oliver of the Garland Police Department and other members of the force was on hand to promote the upcoming “Mad Dog” Moore Memorial Bass Tournament. Their team handed our koozies and shared information with festival visitors.
The event was great fun and helped generate a lot of interest for the upcoming annual fundraiser. The team raffled off four autographed guitars and passed out information regarding the bass fishing tournament, which Prestige Ford is sponsoring this again this year.
The tournament was created in memory of Police Officer Michael David “Mad Dog” Moore. He was killed in the line of duty when apprehending a bank robbery suspect at the Bank One on W. Centerville Rd. Mr. Moore was an avid outdoorsman and he loved to fish. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children.
