We can’t speak for everyone, but the team here at Randall Reed’s Prestige Ford in Garland is getting pumped up for the upcoming State Fair of Texas, set to begin later this month on September 26th. Everyone around the state is gearing up and preparing for the craziness that is Big Tex, fried foods and good music, including the team at Prestige Ford!
Our service team is excited to be able to assist with the process by servicing the transportation shuttles used around the State Fair. Take a look at some of the work being done on them!
These shuttles will definitely come in handy after stuffing yourself with all that delicious state fair food. Some of this year’s entries take State Fair of Texas Food to another level! The State Fair just recently announced the winners of the Best Tasting and the Most creative Food entries to this year’s fairgrounds.
The Best Tasting award was awarded to Clint Probst for his one-of-a-kind Fried Gulf Shrimp Boil. It contains everything you would expect from a cajun-style shrimp boil rolled into a ball and coated with Fish Fry, only to be dropped into a deep fryer and fried to a golden crisp. The most creative entry was awarded to Justin Martinez for his Funnel Cake Ale. Justin’s light and refreshing ale is met by touches of vanilla and a mild to moderate toasty flavor that is oddly reminiscent of the classic State Fair funnel cake.
