Ford Goes Further

A new Ford campaign launched this week on television, which used actual Ford employees. These ads feature designers credited for engineering the all-new, popular Escape’s exclusive hands-free liftgate and powerful, yet fuel-efficient EcoBoost.

The commercials feature four unique capabilities available on the newly designed Escape and the personalities behind them. Scott Makowski, the powertrain engineer shows the two available EcoBoost engines, which he worked to create. Erika Tsubaki showcases the work she did to ensure Escape’s exterior and interior designs combine style with functionality. While Vince Mahe demonstrates the engineering behind the hands-free lift gate, which he is credited for. Lastly, Jennifer Brace demonstrates the interface engineering she worked on for SYNC and MyFord Touch systems, available on the Escapes.

These ads build on the successful “Go Further” advertising campaign launched earlier this year, which features an ad about the all-new escape. This fall, Ford will also launch “Escape My Life,” an original episodic comedy series that will broadcast online and showcase the new Escape in the context of everyday life by reaching out to a digital audience across wide syndication.

It will feature stars such as Natasha Leggero and actor Joe Lo Truglio showing the Escape in the context of everyday life. It will run for eight episodes on its own YouTube Channel, as well as Hulu, AOL, MSN/Wonderwall, Glam Media Tumblr, Facebook and other online outlets.
